Kirchberg bei Mattighofen/Upper Austria: Just five weeks ago, GT3 Team Eastalent-Racing won the 2023 GT Open championship during an exciting final event in Barcelona. During the celebrations, team owner Peter Reicher was already working out his next idea, racing at the Dubai 24 Hour Race. “Anyone who knows me knows that I love to turn ideas into reality. So, I decided to send our successful team to the Dubai 24 Hour Race,” reports Peter Reicher.

The Dubai 24 Hour Race, organized by Creventic, has been one of the top events in the 24-hour series for several years now. Team owner Peter Reicher and his son Simon already gained their first experiences here in 2019. “I like the Creventic 24-hour series. Simon and I were able to gain our first experience back in 2019, when we were still in Peter Schmidt’s team (Car Collection). As our own racing team, Eastalent Racing, the Dubai 24 Hour Race represents a completely new dimension. There are several challenges and logistics are only a small part of the equation. The Dubai 24 Hour Race takes place at the beginning of the year in warm conditions and is therefore a great opportunity to prepare the team for the new season,” says Peter Reicher.

Now the question of the driver pairing arises. Will the entire GT Open Champion Team be on the grid? Peter Reicher explains: “We will definitely be racing our winning GT3 car, the Audi R8 LMS evo II, from the 2023 GT Open. The car will be looked after by our main mechanic Sebastian Hofmann and his crew. I am particularly proud that our two champions Simon Reicher and Audi Sport driver Christopher Haase are on board. A third driver is about to be announced and the fourth driver position is still up for grabs – anyone can join our cockpit!”

The Dubai 24 Hour Race will take place in the United Arab Emirates from January 12 to 14, 2024.
